About Frank P. Grimaldi, DDS
San Francisco sedation dentist Frank Grimaldi received his bachelor’s degree in Biology from San Jose State University in 1976, graduating Tau Delta Phi scholastic honor society and dean’s list commendations from the School of Science. He received his D.D.S. degree from the University of California, San Francisco, graduating with a class rank of 1st in class and receiving a regent’s scholarship Dr. Grimaldi received the Omicron Kappa Epsilon dental honor society award as well as the Alpha Omega award for scholastic excellence. He completed residency training in hospital dentistry at the University of California, San Francisco in 1982 with a specific focus on painless dentistry for medically compromised developmentally disabled or phobic patients. Dr. Grimaldi joined the University of California, San Francisco faculty in 1983 as the Director of the General Practice Residency in hospital dentistry, serving in that capacity until 2009. From 1987 to 2009 he served as the Director of Hospital Dentistry, offering painless dental treatment in an operating room setting. Dr. Grimaldi is currently a Clinical Professor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, School of Dentistry at the University of California, San Francisco.
