About Theresa Hegedus, DDS
Dr. Theresa received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Dentistry in 1997. As a general dentist, Dr. Theresa is skilled in all aspects of dentistry, from root canal treatment and extractions to cosmetic smile design and composite fillings. Dr. Theresa truly enjoys transforming smiles with orthodontics for both children and adults. She was an early adopter of dental implant placement surgeries and restorations. Dr. Theresa has since incorporated three-dimensional imaging and guides in implant placement that has lead to greater ease in surgery and success. Dr. Theresa’s love of travel and adventure was the catalyst for her journey to the Solomon Islands in 2011, to provide dental care for the locals on the remote islands off Australia. As a member of the charitable organization, Flying Doctors of America, Dr.Theresa has traveled to the Solomon Islands, Kenya, the prisons of Bolivia, the refugee camps of Jordan and the jungles of Guyana to provide dental treatment to the poorest of the poor. Through this work, Dr. Theresa has had the opportunity to meet amazing people from all corners of the world and share her expertise and training with local dentists and caregivers as well as provide needed treatment for patients. Dr. Theresa looks forward to continuing with international mission work in the future. Dr. Theresa enjoys traveling, training horses, downhill skiing, cycling, golf and spending time with family.
