About Stephen P. Vargo, DDS

Dr. Stephen Vargo received his B.S. at Texas A&M University and his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Texas School of Dentistry. He furthered his education in a residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the South Texas Veterans Healthcare System in San Antonio. Dr. Vargo has completed the core curriculum of The Dawson Academy, a 160-hour continuing education continuum that focuses on comprehensive patient care, including functional and cosmetic treatment. As a result of his dedication to continuing education and life-long learning, Dr. Vargo received the highly regarded Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. This award requires a dentist to have an extensive number of approved continuing education hours and successfully pass a comprehensive examination demonstrating competence in the application of accepted dental knowledge, techniques and procedures. Currently less than 7% of General Dentists in the state of Texas hold this honor. Dr. Vargo believes in a patient centered approach to dentistry. His patients’ comfort and care are Dr. Vargo’s main priorities, and he provides a warm and relaxed atmosphere while catering to the health and beauty of his patients’ smiles. It is Dr. Vargo’s goal to work with patients and develop a plan which will help maintain exceptional oral health for a lifetime. During his free time, Dr. Vargo enjoys golf, fishing, physical fitness, travel and spending time with his niece and nephew.
