About Ricardo S. Seir, DDS
Dr. Ricardo Seir was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. He attended the Central University of Venezuela School of Dentistry and graduated 5th in his class in 1993. In his last year of dental school, Dr. Seir met his future wife, and in 1994, the two moved to Michigan to pursue their Masters Degrees at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Years later, Dr. Seir became a specialist in Restorative Dentistry. His wife became a Pediatric Dentist. Dr. Seir’s bilingualism makes him a unique member of the Parkside Dental Team. With Spanish as his first language, Dr. Seir serves many Spanish-speaking patients who had been unable to communicate with their dental healthcare providers in the past. In addition, he educates Spanish-speaking students on the importance of Dental Health during Children’s Dental Health Awareness Month. Dr. Seir belongs to the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, the Detroit District Dental Society, the Academy of Operative Dentistry, the Hispanic Dental Association, and the Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. He has attended many continued education seminars and has given presentations for both the International Association of Dental Research and the Academy of Operative Dentistry. Dr. Seir enjoys all aspects of dentistry and has a special interest in Restorative Dentistry with emphasis in Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Seir has two children—Arianna, born in 2000 and Gabriel, born in 2002. He is a baseball fan and a music-lover, and enjoys singing, writing songs, playing the classical guitar, and performing for audiences in Ann Arbor cafes. Dr. Seir is also a member of the Venezuelan Society of Authors and Composers and placed second in a national songwriting contest in Venezuela in 1992.
