About Paul D. Korus, DMD
Dr. Korus began his health care career when he graduated from SUNY Buffalo, School of Pharmacy. He went on to study at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where he earned his DMD degree. Upon graduating in 1982, Dr. Korus completed a postgraduate residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Hartford, CT and joined Drs. Bush and Tandy in private practice in Coventry and Vernon, CT. Dr. Korus has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education, studying with many renowned dental institutions including The Pete Dawson Academy, The Pankey Institute, and the prestigious Kois Center for Advanced Dental Study. After years of study with Dr. John Kois in Seattle, WA, he became a mentor to dentists from around the world, studying the latest evidence-based procedures and technologies related to the practice of esthetic dentistry. Currently there are only two hundred dentists worldwide that are qualified to be in this group, with only two in the state of Connecticut. He has served as president and treasurer of the Tolland County Dental Society for multiple years, has been a delegate to the Connecticut State Dental Association, and has served as chair of the Children's Dental Health Committee in Tolland County. He has been a clinical faculty preceptor at the University of CT School of Dental Medicine since 2008 and has taught at Hartford Hospitals' post-graduate training program since 2000. Dr. Korus has received recognition as Hartford Magazines ""Top Dentist"" and inclusion in ""Americas Top Dentists."" Besides dentistry, Dr. Korus's interests include tennis, golf, biking, and spending time with his wife and two children.
