About Myrna E. Lazaga, DMD
I am Dr. Myrna Lazaga and I have been practicing in San Diego for more than 15 years. I grew up in Llorente, Eastern Samar, Philippines, where my father was a farmer and my mother an elementary school teacher. I earned my doctorate at Centro Escolar University and came to San Diego after the Navy stationed my husband here. I became licensed to practice dentistry in California in 1996 and opened my first office in 1997. I transform people’s life by helping them experience the confidence that come with a beautiful smile. See SMILE is a universal language it is free to give but powerful enough to brightens someone’s day. Kids are my biggest fans because I make sure they have a great experience. Most patients become apprehensive because of an unpleasant experience with another dentist when they were young. Often, it is very difficult for these patients to overcome these painful memories as I slowly gain their trust. By consistently giving them excellent service as a child, these patients become my lifelong patients. My ability to take care of children assures parents that I can give the same high-quality service to the rest of the family. God has blessed me with two sons of my own. Both of whom I’m very proud of. I am also a military wife and have been married for 23 years. So I know what’s like to have a loved one deployed overseas for months at a time. I know the difficulty in raising two children while my husband defended our country. Therefore when I provide treatment for military families, I empathize and encourage them with my past experiences. Growing up in the Philippines, I am so thankful for what God has given me. It’s a joy to be a channel of God’s blessing. I have a passion for the people in Llorente and have offered free dental services in the past. Currently, I am raising funds for my third dental mission in Llorente, which I have planned for February 2013. Please see my “Giving Back” page for more details.
