About Michael Guirguis, DDS
Dr. Michael Guirguis was raised in Ireland and England, before his family relocated to Cleveland, Ohio. Growing up with an uncle who was a dentist and parents who were physicians, a medical career was always in the back of his mind. “I started college majoring in finance,” he said. “But the thought of a life behind a desk with little human contact changed my mind.” The influence of his uncle and parents showed him that he could impact lives through medicine. Dr. Guirguis went on to complete his undergraduate studies at Miami University of Oxford, Ohio and dental school at Ohio State University. He moved to Texas as quickly as he could and continued his education by pursuing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Baylor College of Dentistry. Michael Guirguis, DDS and his Family Before joining his brother, Dr. James Guirguis, and Dr. Brent Fleming at Richardson Dentistry, he was in private practice for several years in the Dallas County area. He found that the existing philosophy at Richardson Dentistry dovetailed perfectly with his own. “No patient is just a chart, a set of teeth, or ‘the next patient’ to us. We also share a passion for continuing education.” Dr. Guirguis is committed to providing his patients with the highest level of care. That is why he is continuing his postgraduate education and is focusing on restorative, cosmetic, and implant dentistry. He is an active member of the Spear Education Faculty Club, one of the leading institutions in dental education. He is also a member of the Dallas County Study Club, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Texas Dental Association, and Dallas County Dental Society.
