About Matthew E. Joelson, DDS
Dr. Joelson grew up in Farmington Hills, MI, where he attended North Farmington Hills High School. He attended Michigan State, where he graduated with a BS degree in 1993, and went on to study dentistry at the Northwestern University Dental School, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1997. After graduation he continued his studies at the University of California at San Francisco, where he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) in 1998. He has practiced dentistry in San Francisco and Chicago, and has been mentored by some of the best cosmetic dentists in the world. In 2012 he fulfilled his dream of returning to Michigan and partnered with Dr. Shushtari to form Pierce Street Dental. Dr. Joelson also operates a second practice, Today’s Smiles, in Waterford. Dr. Joelson practices all areas of dentistry, but specializes in providing cosmetic dentistry with natural results. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Michigan AGD, and the American Dental Association. Outside the office Dr. Joelson exercises and plays hockey and golf.
