About Lars A. Johnson, DDS
Dr. Johnson was born and raised in Schaumburg where he attended Schaumburg High School. During that time, you may have seen him performing in the show on horseback at Medieval Times. He graduated from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin studying biology and chemistry. He then earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. Dr. Johnson was honored with the “International College of Dentists Award” in recognition of a student who demonstrated the most dedication and commitment to dentistry. Dr. Johnson has been practicing in the Chicago suburbs for over fifteen years, and became the owner of Forest Edge Dental in 2011. He continues his commitment to dentistry by regularly attending courses to stay current with the latest advances in the field. “As a dentist, it is my responsibility to inform and educate every patient about all their treatment options. Everyone is unique and has different dental needs. I take pride in being a gentle, meticulous dentist. It is my goal for our patients to be surprised at how comfortable modern dentistry can be.” He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Johnson loves spending time with his wife (Melissa) and their two year old daughter (Ava). As a family, they enjoy walking and playing with their Bernese Mountain Dog named Dyna. He enjoys being outdoors while snowboarding and boating, playing ice hockey, traveling, and exercising.
