About Joshua Smith, DDS
As a boy scout, Dr. Smith earned his Dentistry merit badge thanks to an influential leader; that’s when he knew he wanted to be a dentist. He earned a degree in Medical Biology from the University of Utah, then attended the University of Louisville for dental school. Since then he has earned a Moderate Sedation permit for class III anesthesia. He was also certified for wisdom tooth removal through Western Surgical & Sedation. He is a current faculty member there and does wisdom tooth extractions on Thursdays and Fridays with The Wisdom Teeth Guys. He is also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association. Dr. Smith sees dentistry as both a hobby and a profession. He especially loves transforming smiles to give patients the confidence to smile. His patients know him to be caring; in particular he sees many patients who have severe dental anxiety and helps them to feel at ease. Dr. Smith is married and has four children and a burnedoodle. His family loves bowling, going to the movies, and watching soccer games and dance recitals.
