About Joseph B. Silberman, DMD
Dr. Joseph B. Silberman, principal of Evanston Dental Associates, was awarded his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Boston University in 1985, graduating with honors. After practicing dentistry on New York’s Upper East Side, Dr. Silberman moved to Illinois to begin a family with his wife Renee; he has been an Evanston dentist for over 22 years and was the first General Dentist on the North Shore to incorporate using a microscope while treating his patients. Dr. Silberman is committed to staying up-to-date on the latest advances in dental treatments and techniques through ongoing continuing education. In addition to completing the curriculum offered by the world renowned Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, he has completed courses in periodontics (gums), orthodontics (braces), occlusion (bites), endodontics (root canals), dental sleep medicine (apnea), implants, and cosmetic dentistry. In 2001, he was awarded a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, a credential reserved for dentists who have earned extensive continuing education hours and passed an all-day exam. Dr. Silberman and his wife, Renee, are blessed with four sons; their family hobbies include playing sports and gardening. Most recently, Dr. Silberman has been enjoying taking improv classes at Piven Theatre and I.O. in Chicago.
