About Janis Duski, DDS
Born and raised in the downriver Detroit area, Dr. Janis Duski has been a Gaylord resident since 1992. She attended The University of Detroit for her undergraduate training and The University of Michigan for dental school. As with her husband, Janis entered the US Air Force as a Captain and completed a one-year residency in advanced general dentistry. This postgraduate work allowed for additional training in the dental specialties, with emphasis on oral and periodontal surgery. While in private practice, she has received continued training through the Seattle Institute, is an Alumni of the prestigious Dawson Academy, and has achieved Fellowship status with the Academy of General Dentistry. Most recently Dr. Duski has been very involved with the University of Michigan Dental School, serving on the Alumni Board of Directors, the Capital Campaign Committee, as well as being appointed an Adjunct Clinical Lecturer. She is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, member of the Michigan Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the Vacationland District Dental Society. She spends most of her free time involved with her two children or out on the fishing boat trying to catch more fish than Dr. Ed:). Daughter Lauren is a 2013 graduate of the University of Michigan and her son Bradley graduated from there in 2016.
