About James E. Sorge, DMD
Dr. James E. Sorge grew up in Cache Valley in northern Utah. He graduated from BYU and completed his Doctor of Medical Dentistry with Honors from Oregon Health Sciences University, located in Portland Oregon in 1998. Shortly thereafter; he moved to the San Diego area of Southern California. For the past 21 years, he has practiced in the ‘Avocado Capital’ of the world, Fallbrook, CA. Dr. Sorge and family relocated back to Utah in 2018. Along with providing Family and General Dental Care, Dr. Sorge has furthered his career by studying advances in Cosmetic Dentistry, Implantology (dental implants), Orthodontics (braces), TMJ Disorders and Dental Sleep Medicine. He has lectured to various Medical and Dental organizations. Dr. Sorge has taken part in humanitarian projects from Oregon, to California to the Islands of the South Pacific. He has received the San Diego Reader's People Choice ""Best of the Best"" award and is a leader amongst his peers receiving the San Diego's ""Top Dentist"" Award, 13 consecutive years, 2007-2019. He is an active member of several professional affiliations, including the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Sorge and his wife, Katherine, have 4 children, and 1 grandchild. They enjoy spending time with family and friends, trying new foods, golfing, snorkeling. You can find him in quieter times with a good book or puzzle.
