About Christopher D. Maurer, DDS
Dr. Maurer was born and raised in the anthracite coal region of northeastern Pennsylvania. Both his grandfathers were coal miners. He decided at the age of nine to become a dentist and never changed his mind or his goal. After more than 37 years in the field, he still can't believe his luck! Dr. Maurer attended Temple University in Philadelphia. completing his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1970 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1976. He also enlisted in the United States Army Reserve from 1970 through 1976. Upon graduation, Dr. Maurer was nominated into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Fraternity and maintained membership in the Saint George Oral Cancer Society, the Stomatognathic Society, the Oral Surgery Honor Society and the American Society of Dentistry for Children. Dr. Maurer has been selected as a Top Dentist by The Leading Physicians of the World and has also been named among the top dentists by the Consumer's Research Council of America and the Delaware Valley Consumer's Checkbook. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Orthodontics and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. When not in the office, Dr. Maurer enjoys time with his wife, their three children, and grandson.
