About Amy Okun, DDS
Dr. Amy Okun was born and raised in Tempe, Arizona to a very close-knit family. She practically grew up in her father’s practice where she quickly developed a love and desire for dentistry. Throughout her childhood, she constantly witnessed her father’s love for the practice of dentistry which resulted in happy, smiling patients. She admired the extent to which his patients, not only cared for him, but appreciated his hard work, honesty and dedication. Dr. Amy is excited to be the third generation and fourth Okun to graduate New York University College of Dentistry. After graduating, she was Chief Resident for the Residency Program at the NYUCD/Bellevue Hospital. She learned a great deal during that most rewarding experience. She then travelled to the Dominican Republic to offer free dentistry to the families in need. This proved to be a highly rewarding experience in being able to help people that greatly needed dental care. She is now overjoyed at the opportunity to practice dentistry as a partner with her mentor, friend and father, Dr. Bruce Okun. Her love for dentistry is obvious once you step into their practice and witness the staff which is treated as family and their patients who are treated with unconditional attention, care, trust and, most importantly, quality workmanship.
