About Tran T. Hoang, DDS
Dr. Tran Hoang graduated Phi Betta Kappa and Cum Laude from UC Irvine where she majored in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and minored on Women's Studies. She then attended UCLA School of Dentistry where she graduated with numerous honors, including the coveted Pacific Coast Society for Prothodontics and the Section Award in Pediatric Dentistry. After dental school, Dr. Hoang completed a three year residency program in Advanced Prosthodontics at UCLA. As a prosthodontist, Dr. Hoang specializes in difficult dental problems and restorations including crowns and bridges, partials and dentures, and implant dentistry. Dr. Hoang recognizes the importance of community, giving and education. During dental school, she served as a UCLA-USC Mobile Clinic coordinator, a program which brought dental care to underserved areas. She also went abroad to Honduras and Fiji as part of dental outreach teams. Currently, Dr. Hoang works with Kerry's Kids, a non-profit organization which provides free mobile health care to homeless children at shelters throughout the East Bay. Dr. Hoang is also an assistant clinical professor at UCSF where she teaches both general dentistry and removable prosthodontics. Dr. Hoang's professional goal is to practice dentistry of the highest quality in that it speaks to the functions of the teeth, namely of mastication, swallowing, speech and esthetics.
