About Tori Saferin, DMD
Tori Saferin was born and raised in West Hartford. At about three years old, Dr. Saferin declared that she wanted to be a dentist when she grew up—and she never wavered! After attending Braeburn Elementary School and King Philip Middle School, Dr. Saferin attended The Ethel Walker School in Simsbury, CT. Upon graduating from Ethel Walker, Tori attended Marist College, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences and minors in Business and Psychology. She then matriculated to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where she obtained her DMD degree. From there, Dr. Saferin opted to continue her training and completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Hartford Hospital. Dr. Saferin spent a few years as an associate dentist in Cromwell and Avon, CT before she purchased David Weil’s practice in West Hartford in June of 2017. Dr. Weil and Dr. Saferin share many of the same practice philosophies, making the transition a seamless one. Dr. Saferin feels truly blessed to have Dr. Weil as her incredible mentor. She is thrilled to bring her knowledge, expertise and compassion to her hometown, a community she knows and loves. Dr. Saferin maintains memberships in the Connecticut State Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. She is on the faculty of the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine as a Clinical Instructor in the School of Behavioral Sciences and Community Health. She actively participates in Spear Study Clubs to stay up-to-date on her dental education and provide her patients with the best possible care. When outside the office, Dr. Saferin enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves to travel, cook and entertain. You can often find her at the gym, out running or walking around town, or trying a local restaurant.
