About Thomas C. Shields, DDS
Dr. Thomas C. Shields, DDS of River City Dental Solutions in San Antonio, TX, has practiced dentistry for over 40 years. A native of San Antonio, Dr. Shields graduated from Jefferson High School and preceded his dental training with an undergraduate degree through Trinity University in San Antonio. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. Recognized by his patients for his high standard of care and professionalism, Dr. Shields is regularly commended on the quality and pain-free delivery of his dental procedures. He and the team at River City Dental Solutions create an inviting, family-like environment in their office. After he served two years in the United States Air Force, Dr. Shields returned to San Antonio with his wife, Sally, and started his private practice. They raised two sons and are the proud grandparents of two beautiful granddaughters. In his spare time, Dr. Shields enjoys hunting, fishing, water sports, and spending time with his family.
