About Sara Maltese, DMD
Dr. Maltese was born and raised in Port Charlotte, FL where her parents still reside. She received her Bachelor of Science at Emory University and then earned her DMD degree from Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. Upon graduating from dental school, Dr. Maltese completed her Advanced Education of General Dentistry residency at the University of Detroit Mercy in Detroit, MI. Although she has lived in various cities throughout the US, she has always called Florida home. Dr. Maltese comes from a family line of dentists. Her brother is a general dentist in Pennsylvania and her late grandmother was the first female dentist in the Dominican Republic. Dr. Maltese is fluent in both Spanish and Italian. When she is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Maltese enjoys spending time with friends and family. She also likes photography, singing and travelling with her husband, Luca. She is very happy to be back in the sunshine state and excited to be a part of the Dental Office of Dunedin family.
