About Ramsey A. Amin, DDS
Dr. Amin maintains an implant and restorative dentistry practice in Burbank, California. He also performs all implant related procedures, such as bone replacement, grafting, and complex dental reconstructions including zygomatic implants and nerve repositioning. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry (ABOI/ID). Since 1969, fewer than 500 dentists in the United States have passed this rigorous Board Certification process. This honorable title makes him extremely well qualified in all dental implant and bone grafting procedures. This is implant dentistry’s “Hall of Fame.” In addition, Dr. Amin is specially trained and licensed to offer IV sedation (dentistry while you sleep) for the comfort of all patients. He performs hundreds of implant and bone graft procedures per year, which has made him a leading expert in the field. His compassion, enthusiasm, and passion for implant dentistry sets him apart from his peers. As a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology, Fellow of the International College of Oral Implantologists, and Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, he attends all of the major yearly national implant meetings. This allows him to remain current on all the new research and constant advances in dentistry. Dr. Ramsey Amin is also on the editorial board for a nationally recognized dental journal, “Dentistry Today” in the “Implants Today” subsection. Dr. Amin was selected to be a content reviewer for the international dental implant scientific literature journal called the Journal of Oral Implantology. This is a worldwide publication where articles are published on the topic of dental implant reconstruction. Dr. Amin is heavily involved in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He was selected to be an officer of the Academy representing the Western United States. He also serves on the AAID education committee. On a national level, Dr. Ramsey Amin teaches lecture and hands-on implant and observation courses in our Burbank office, which other doctors and staff are invited to attend throughout the year. He even teaches a cadaver surgery course to other dentists. He is a native of Burbank, CA and graduated second in his class from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry with the highest honors (OKU). He then completed a two-year residency rotation exclusively in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Anesthesia at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. It is this advanced university training that allows him to perform dental implantology, bone grafting, complex surgery, prosthetic smile reconstruction, and IV sedation. He is also a past clinical instructor at UCLA and Western University School of Dentistry, teaching sedation and surgery. He is also trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), the highest level of CPR. Dr. Amin founded the education based “Dental Implant Exchange” Facebook group exclusively for dentists and dental lab technicians. He shares his experience and knowledge with almost 3000 doctors around the globe. Ramsey Amin DDS is also one of the head mentors of an educational teaching platform that allows novice dentists the opportunity to their practice and patient care through online case collaboration. Dr. Ramsey Amin is a speaker for a leading international dental implant manufacturer where he teaches other dentists the ins and outs of dental implants and bone grafting. In his free time, Dr. Amin enjoys fitness, skiing, and family time with his wife and four kids. He lives in the area so you may see him running his German Shepherd, “Lincoln.”
