About Mounir Guirguis, DDS
Dr. Guirguis graduated in 1983, obtaining his DDS degree from the faculty of dentistry at the University of Alexandria. After completing his residency, he went to postgraduate school and attained his Masters degree in restorative dentistry, endodontics and fixed prosthodontics. He then moved with his family to the gulf area where he worked as a consultant in restorative dentistry, focusing on delivering the most esthetic treatment modalities using the latest technology available. During his fourteen years spent in the gulf area, Dr. Guirguis was deeply involved in the field of Implantology in both divisions surgical and prosthetic. After completion of his international program at UCSF and UOP, he became a managing dentist in multiple offices in Western Dental, where he dedicated his professionalism to help treat many patients over a period of six years. Dr. Guirguis then decided to put all his experience and expertise acquired over the years into his own office. He took over a private practice in Vallejo and started MAK Dental, where he and his team enjoy the challenge of providing state of the art quality treatment, conservative family dentistry, and providing quality dental care in a comfortable and friendly environment. Dr. Guirguis is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, SOIC, California Dental Association, as well as the Contra Costa Dental Society. He also invented a unique technique to help restore implants with close proximity which has been published in the Journal of Oral Implantology. Dr. Guirguis and his wife Nevein, are heavily involved with the raising of their son and daughter. He also enjoys playing the guitar with his son who plays the drums, in addition both of them share their passion for soccer. The whole family enjoys traveling, swimming, and numerous outdoor activities. Finally, Dr.Guirguis has a great passion for art which helped enhance his skills in his professional career.
