About Michael Guzman, DDS
Michael Guzman DDS was born and raised in San Jose, CA. Prior to studying dentistry, he enjoyed computers, AutoCad, animation and graphic design. In 1994, while he was attending his senior year at Mt. Pleasant High School, he participated in a multidisciplinary project as manager; designing a Rocket Car tested with success in the runways of NASA. With his interest in sciences, art and handcrafting, Dr. Guzman realized soon that dentistry was his calling. He completed his initial dental training at the highest city of the world in La Paz-Bolivia at the Universidad Nuestra Señora De La Paz in 2000. Dr. Guzman pursued his dental degree validation in the United States and was invited to complete an advanced standing program at the renowned PASS program at the University of Minnesota. He completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and was honored to receive a special recognition from the Department of Prosthodontics with the Raymond Gill Award for Outstanding Senior Dental Student. In addition to his formal education, Dr. Guzman has spent several hours of continuing education training both on a local and a national level. He believes that it is important to keep current with evolving techniques and new materials to provide state-of-the-art treatment options for his patients. Dr. Guzman constantly seeks to be involved in the community and providing dental care to the underserved. He has participated in missionary outreach teams with his church in the United States and internationally. When not in the office, Dr. Guzman enjoys spending time with his wife Brenda, their three children Cami, Sami and Gabi and their two energetic Boxers; Chapo and Lola. He is an avid 49ers and The Strongest Soccer Club fan, plays amateur soccer, swims and is always available for movie nights or cooking something new.
