About Matthew C. Byars, DDS
Dr. Byars did his undergraduate studies at Olivet College, Olivet, MI, in 1994. He continued his education at the University Of Detroit Mercy School Of Dentistry, Detroit, MI, receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1998. After graduation, Dr. Byars joined the United States Navy. He continued his dental education and gained further experience during his military career. In 2005, Dr. Byars completed a one-year fellowship in oral surgery after which he was stationed in Sicily, Italy, taking care of families' surgical and general dental needs. In 2008, Dr. Byars took a special assignment, one of three sailors attached to Naval Station Bahrain. After that year, Dr. Byars decided to transfer to Key West, Florida to complete his Naval career. In 2010, at McDill Airforce Base in Tampa, FL, he was promoted to the rank of Commander (0-5). In his spare time, Dr. Byars spends time with wife Kim and their dog Cali. They enjoy traveling, spending time with friends and have an active lifestyle in fitness sports.
