About Larry W. Tilger, DDS
Dr. Larry Tilger grew up in Amarillo. He graduated from the Baylor College of Dentistry where he was an Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Graduate. Dr. Tilger received his anesthesia (IV sedation) training from the University of Southern California and is certified to perform oral and IV sedation. He received his Advanced Surgical and Prosthetic Implant training from the Internationally-renowned Misch International Implant Institute and is a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Upon moving to Houston, Dr. Tilger contracted with the Department of Defense, providing full dental services to active and retired military and NASA Air Force patients. He graduated from the Advanced and Masters programs at the Center for Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry (formerly The Baylor Aesthetic Continuum) where he continues to serve on the teaching faculty. To keep up with the latest techniques and materials he has continually advanced his knowledge and training through vast continuing education from many of the most highly regarded experts in dentistry. Having practiced for over 30 years, Dr. Tilger has extensive experience and expertise in most areas of dentistry. Dr. Tilger has completed a number of mission trips outside the country as well as in Texas. Through faith-based organizations and The Texas Dental Association Texas Mission of Mercy, Dr. Tilger has been able to serve by providing emergency dental care. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Tilger enjoys traveling and spending time with family and spoiling his two granddaughters. He enjoys the outdoors and is involved in several wildlife conservation projects.
