About Kathy Jacobsen, DMD
Dr. Kathy Jacobsen is a board-certified dentist proudly serving the Gilbert, AZ area. She performs a wide variety of procedures as part of cosmetic, restorative, and general dentistry. Dr. Jacobsen is dedicated to building long-term patient relationships and staying up to date on the latest advancements in the field of dental science. She is well-known by her patients for providing exceptional patient care and beautiful results. For her skill and dedication, Dr. Jacobsen has been named the official dentist for Miss Arizona and Miss Arizona Outstanding Teen. At Contemporary Dentistry, Dr. Jacobsen provides several procedures and treatments to help restore and enhance the smiles of her patients. As a part of cosmetic dentistry, she offers smile makeovers, porcelain veneers, dentures, at-home teeth whitening, Zoom! teeth whitening, and MTM aligners. To prevent and repair dental issues, Dr. Jacobsen performs dental examinations, dental cleanings, root canal therapy, scaling and root planing, and emergency dental care. Her restorative dentistry procedures consist of dental bonding, dental crowns, dental bridges, dental implants, and TMJ/TMD therapy. She also offers sedation dentistry for patients who experience fear or anxiety about going to the dentist. Dr. Jacobsen earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from the University Medical and Dental School of New Jersey in 1994. She then moved to Arizona to begin her practice. She continues to expand her skills and knowledge through attending annual education courses, including two trips each year to the Las Vegas Institute to study advanced dental anterior aesthetics. In order to offer sedation dentistry to patients who are anxious about dental procedures, Dr. Jacobsen completed 35 hours of training with the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation.
