About Joy H. Yoo, DMD
Dr. Joy has practiced dentistry for 31 years. In 1984, she received her first dental degree from Yon Sei University in South Korea. She then continued her academic career to achieve her master's degree in preventive dentistry and her Ph.D. in forensic dentistry while maintaining her own private practice. After immigrating to the United States, she received her final dental degree from the Henry Goldman School of Dentistry at Boston University. In 2002, Dr. Joy opened the doors to Joy Dental in Fair Lawn, New Jersey with confidence in every aspect of clinical dentistry. Her practice, thriving and growing, is now a community of over 4,000 strong. It is a warm, family-oriented dental office, but one that always strives to keep ahead of the game with cutting edge technology. To mention a few, the office utilizes digital X-rays, intra-oral cameras, single-visit crowns, dental lasers and 3D cone-beam radiographs. Dr. Joy is a member of the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, and the Bergen Dental Society. She is also a member of American General Dentistry and was awarded Fellow of General Dentistry in 2011 in recognition of her life-long dental education. She actively participates in many professional seminars and has traveled all over the country, always in search of the newest and best technology. In her spare time, she indulges in oil painting and displays her creations at the office to share the joy of painting with her patients.
