About John A. Vellequette, DDS
Sunnyvale, California is home to one of the state’s leading dental experts. With his extensive background and continuing dedication to the field of dentistry, John Vellequette, DDS of Smile Center Silicon Valley is known for his expertise. Dr. Vellequette welcomes new patients to the practice. After earning his undergraduate degree in nutritional science from the University of California, Davis, Dr. Vellequette relocated to New York for graduate school. He completed his doctorate in dental surgery from the University of Buffalo and minored in periodontics. Dr. Vellequette attends about 200 hours of continuing education courses annually in orthodontics, dental implants, intravenous sedation, and other advanced dental techniques. He is currently both a fellow and a master of the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD and FAGD). Dr. Vellequette is one of about 1,000 practitioners to hold the prestigious mastership award. To ensure he stays up-to-date with the latest and most advanced dental procedures, Dr, Vellequette maintains several professional memberships. He’s a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) and the Cranio Mandibular Institute (CMI), among several others. Dr. Vellequette even served on legislative committees and as an alternate delegate for the California Dental Association (CDA) and the American Dental Association (ADA). Dr. Vellequette’s principal professional goal is to set the standard for excellence in the practice and delivery of dental care. Being able to do this involves teaching other dentists and dental students the art and science of advanced aesthetic dentistry, throughout the United States. When Dr. Vellequette isn’t busy caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with his three children. They participate in golfing, skiing, swimming, and hiking. Together, Dr. Vellequette and his family also like to make movies and take professional photographs.
