About Jesse C. Engle, DMD
Dr. Jesse C. Engle, a Tucson native, grew up in Northwest Tucson. He attended Canyon del Oro High School, and then went on to attend the University of Arizona where he graduated with honors with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. From there, Dr. Engle headed east where he attended Boston University’s School of Dental Medicine. After earning his DMD and graduating with honors, Dr. Engle was commissioned as a Captain in the U.S. Army. Heading south, Dr. Engle was stationed at Fort Stewart, outside of Savannah, Georgia. For two years Dr. Engle provided dental care to soldiers and received advanced training while working closely with dental specialists. After serving on post for two years, Dr. Engle was deployed to Baghdad, Iraq with the 3rd Infantry Division. As a Brigade Dental Surgeon he spent twelve months in Southern Baghdad. During those twelve months he provided emergency dental care to soldiers, and also played a role in running a busy aid station that took in soldiers who were wounded in combat. After returning from Iraq, Dr. Engle fulfilled the rest of his military commitment in Georgia and was honorably discharged. It was then that Dr. Engle returned to Tucson and joined a group dental practice. Dr. Engle divided his time between the busy practice, and pursuing continuing education in many different areas of dentistry. After two years with the group, Dr. Engle realized his dream of owning his own practice and Presidio Dental was opened in April of 2008. Dr. Engle has a wonderful daughter, Kailey, who is currently a senior in high school. He loves the outdoors, and spends his free time cycling, running, swimming and hiking. Dr. Engle is extremely passionate about dentistry and is constantly honing his craft through continuing education. His gentle and honest nature are some of our patients' favorite qualities.
