About Jason S. Schrotenboer, DDS
Dr. Jason Schrotenboer is an oral & maxillofacial surgeon who hails from the beautiful coast of West Michigan, now making Chicago his home. He began his training by obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology at Michigan State University. He then obtained his dental degree from the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry. Inspired by his own experiences as an oral surgery patient, he pursued specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Michigan. During this 6-year residency, he earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan, School of Medicine, gained extensive training in Anesthesiology and completed a 2-year internship in General Surgery. In addition, Dr. Schrotenboer obtained a Certificate in Microvascular Surgery that provides him with expertise in the repair of nerves and blood vessels. While at the University of Michigan, Dr. Schrotenboer encountered a broad spectrum of patient cases that have given him the knowledge, skill, and judgment to treat many conditions of the mouth, jaw, face, and neck. In addition to this comprehensive training, Dr. Schrotenboer has had the perspective of being a patient of the specialty, himself. This provides him with a unique insight into the needs and desires of the oral surgery patient.
