About James D. Jackson, DDS
As an undergraduate, Dr. James Jackson attended Kalamazoo Collage and also studied abroad in Caen, France. He went on to receive his dental degree in 1970 at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, which was recently rated the number one dental school in the United States by US News. Because dental care is rapidly changing, Dr. Jackson engages in continuing education for dental techniques in areas such as sleep apnea, teeth replacement and implants, fixed and removable dentures, and a variety of advanced tooth filling materials and orthodontic tooth movement. After completing his UP initiation at a summer children’s dental clinic, Dr. Jackson decided to set up his dental practice here in Marquette and has been practicing in the area for over 40 years. He has enjoyed raising his five children in this amazing area and is one of the proud owners of the historic Savings Bank Building, where he and his fellow owners have received two preservation awards from the Marquette Beautification Committee, the latest one being in 2019. Dr. Jackson has advanced training in cosmetic dentistry and is on the Advisory Board for the Lords Dental Crown and Bridge Laboratory in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He also received advanced training in endodontics in 2010 at Dentsply International Inc., and is a member of the Chicago Dental Society as well as a life- time member of the American Dental Association.
