About Ira A. Sheres, DMD
Ira Sheres, DMD grew up in Long Island, New York. He graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. in Nutritional Science. He moved to Philadelphia in 1986 to attend dental school and has happily been here since that time. After graduating from The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, he continued his education at Temple University School of Dentistry. He earned a certificate in Prosthodontics, the area of dentistry that deals with aesthetic restorations and the replacement of missing teeth with implants, bridges, crowns and removable appliances. Dr. Sheres taught Prosthodontics at Temple School of Dentistry for several years after graduating. He has treated patients in a private practice setting since 1992. He opened his own dental practice in 2008 at his present location. His assistant, Kelli, has worked side by side with him since 2000. Angela, Kelli and Dr Sheres enjoy working together as a team. On a personal note, Dr. Sheres enjoys traveling, spending time with his family and participating in athletics. He has become an avid runner and has completed several marathons. He finds inspiration from many of his patients and loves encouraging his patients to achieve a healthy lifestyle.
