About George Syros, DDS
Dr. George Syros, a Board Certified prosthodontist, received his prosthodontic training at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. His training includes an oncologic-based Maxillofacial Implant Fellowship at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, where he worked alongside Dr. Rhonda F. Jacob from our ClearChoice Houston and Woodlands Centers in Texas. Most recently he was on staff at the University of Illinois at Chicago where he directly supervised residents in surgical procedures, complex prosthodontic cases and maintained a faculty practice as a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists, American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics and the Academy of Osseointegration. In addition to his teaching and practice experience, Dr. Syros has been involved in research in prosthodontics and related areas. He is also an avid athlete who played collegiate and semi-professional basketball in Athens, Greece. He speaks three languages and served as a dentist in the Greek Army.
