About Gary J. Wokuluk, DDS
Dr. Wokuluk is a California native who grew up just over the hill from El Cajon in Lemon Grove. He graduated in 1977 from Loyola University School of Dentistry in Maywood, Illinois, just outside of Chicago. Upon his graduation Dr. Wokuluk took a position with Dr. David L. Sluski, a well-known Chicago area dentist. He was associated in a large group practice that employed five full time dentists, eight part time specialists, and five hygienists. This practice shaped his technical skills, and exposed him to specialty practice techniques. Dr. Wokuluk also associated with Dr. Leonard Quartetti on Saturdays. His practice emphasized cosmetic and functional oral reconstruction. After five years with Drs. Sluski and Quartetti, Dr. Wokuluk decided to return to California. He took on two associate positions. One was with Dr. D.A. Lowell in a Century City practice near Beverly Hills. The other position was in a clinic style practice in San Fernando with Dr. Jerry Malleus. In 1988 he made the decision that it was about time to go back to where he really wanted to be, San Diego. Dr. Wokuluk took over Dr. Charles Blodget's El Cajon office in 1988 when Dr. Blodget retired. The office was relocated to the Lexington Avenue location in 2000. He is a member of the California Dental Association, the American Dental Association and the San Diego County Dental Society. Dr. Wokuluk has completed over 1800 hours of continuing education.
