About Esther Smith, DDS
Dr. Esther Smith, a native of Scranton, Pennsylvania, received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology from the University of Scranton in 1979, and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Temple University in 1983. Upon graduating from Temple, Dr. Smith started practicing dentistry in the Delaware Valley through a variety of different roles including working with a pediatric dentist, making dentures and performing extractions in a Philadelphia nursing home, teaching pre-clinical dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania and practicing as a member of the Visiting Nurse Association as a pediatric dentist at the Children’s Clinic in Conshohocken, PA. Dr. Smith worked with other dentists in the Philadelphia area while building her own practice, which was established in 1987. Over the past 30+ years, Dr. Smith has worked with children and adults of all ages, providing top quality observation, preventative/general dental care and straightforward coaching, designed to help patients achieve and maintain healthy teeth and gums and a beautiful smile, for life. Her particular approach to each individual patient can be described as artistic and highly personalized. She is passionate about her work, her practice, and most importantly, the patients she serves. Dr. Smith is an active member of the Mont-Bucks Chapter of the American Dental Association, and focuses on numerous professional development activities each year in order to keep up with the ever-evolving world of dentistry. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her son, Philip, volunteering as a Boy Scout leader for her son’s Boy Scout troop, traveling, hiking, and hanging out with her dog, Nibbles.
