About Edward Duski, DDS
Dr. Edward Duski graduated in 1985 from Lake Superior State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He had attended LSSU as a recipient of the late Senator Philip A. Hart Memorial Scholarship. Thereafter he entered The University of Michigan Dental School and where he met his wife to be, Dr. Janis (Chmura) Duski. Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Duski entered the US Air Force as a military officer and completed an elective one-year residency in advanced general dentistry. His tour afterwards allowed him to practice advanced dental procedures, including training in forensic dentistry, combat casualty care, advanced Trauma Life Support, and conscious sedation certification. After completing his time in the USAF, Dr. Duski moved to Gaylord where he and his wife established Duski Dentistry and began to raise their family. While being in private practice since l992, Dr. Duski has dedicated his career to studying and perfecting advanced techniques that enable his patients to regain the quality of life they expect and desire. He is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, and the Vacationland District Dental Society. He is an alumni of the Dawson Academy and participated in the continuum for the Seattle Institute for Advance Dental Study. His emphasis in training has been in cosmetic and comprehensive reconstructive dentistry. Dr. Duski offers Oral and IV Sedation Dentistry to his list of available services, being one of few general dentists in the area to provide this. He has also been very involved with the University of Michigan Dental School and was appointed as an Adjunct Clinical Lecturer. He and his wife helped start the Wolverine Patriot Project, an initiative aimed at serving the homeless veterans in Northern Michigan. Through this project, they are able to teach the dental students as well as provide much needed dental care to our deserving veterans. In his free time he really enjoys the abundance of outdoor activities in beautiful Northern Michigan. He loves staying involved with his two children and family.
