About Dede Orraca-Tetteh, DDS
Dr. Dede Orraca-Tetteh was born in Ghana, West Africa, and moved to the United States at the age of 4 to live with her father and his family outside of Philadelphia. As a child, Dr. she always dreamed of dedicating her time to helping others so, a career in healthcare seemed a natural fit for her. Dr. Orraca-Tetteh moved to Baltimore in 1997 to attend Johns Hopkins University. She graduated in 2001 with a BA in history of science, medicine, and technology. Upon graduating, Dr. she spent years working in medical research at the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins Hospital. While working at the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center Department of Head and Neck Cancer, Dr. Orraca-Tetteh was inspired to explore a dental career by one of the dentists she worked with on a research study. After shadowing several dentists, she realized she had found her calling. Dr. Orraca-Tetteh obtained her DDS degree from the University of Maryland Dental School in 2010 and subsequently completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) at the Perry Point Veterans Affairs Hospital in 2011. Upon completing her residency in 2011, she immediately entered private practice. She sees patients of every age and especially enjoys forming relationships with families from toddlers to grandparents. Dr. Dede Orraca-Tetteh has practiced in Owings Mills since 2010. She is honored to have her own dental practice in this area since the people in the community have been so welcoming to her. She strives to provide stellar care to patients with a relaxed, honest, and warm approach. Dr. Dede Orraca-Tetteh is an active member of the American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. In order to provide superior care to her patient base, she continually attends advanced courses in general dentistry. Dr. Dede Orraca-Tetteh has a love of technology and stays abreast of all the cutting-edge advancements in dentistry that will ensure a more efficient dental experience for her patients. When is she not serving her patients, she is playing the biggest role in her life as a mother to her two young boys, Manny and Laye, and wife to her loving Husband, Ibru.
