About David P. Whalen, DDS
Dr. David Whalen graduated from the University of Michigan in the top 5% of his class. Dr. Whalen completed a residency in Hospital Dentistry in San Francisco. There he trained under oral surgeons, periodontists, and prosthodontists learning a wide variety of procedures and treatment options. He has continued his treatment philosophy of providing the highest quality comprehensive dental care in one office. Dr. Whalen practiced in Traverse City until moving back to southeast Michigan to be closer to family. Dr. Whalen is thrilled to return to the area where he grew up and continue with excellence in the dental profession at the Cosmetic Dentistry Institute. Dr. Whalen enjoys providing all phases of general dentistry including TMJ health and pain relief, cosmetic dentistry, surgery, and implant placement. In his free time, Dr. Whalen enjoys spending time with his wife, their families, skiing, and enjoying the outdoors.
