About David J. Laing, DDS
David J. Laing, DDS was born in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Herndon High School in Virginia and soon after he joined the U.S. Army where he was an airborne combat medic. He has served in the Army Reserves for a total of twenty-one years and recently was deployed to Camp Shelby, Mississippi in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Dr. Laing attended Northern Arizona University where he double majored in Geology and Chemistry. Dr. Laing attended Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX. After graduating from Baylor College of Dentistry in 2003 he traveled to Oklahoma City where he attended a General Practice Residency (GPR) at St. Anthony's Hospital. The GPR further developed his surgical and endodontic(root canal) skills and provided him with training in intravenous sedation and wisdom teeth extractions. Dr. Laing has practiced dentistry in the Houston area since 2004. He is extremely committed to serving the oral health care and cosmetic needs of Katy, TX and surrounding areas. Dr. Laing provides full service dentistry from simple fillings to complicated wisdom teeth extractions under IV sedation. He has experience in treating medically compromised patients as well as mentally challenged patients. Dr. Laing married in May of 2005 to his beautiful wife Amy Fillman, DDS, a member of his dental school graduating class. Dr. Laing and Dr. Fillman moved to Katy, TX in 2005 where they now reside with their three sons, Cole, Collin, and Connor, and their miniature schnauzer, Zoey. In his free time Dr. Laing loves to spend quality time with his family and likes to play sports with his sons. He and his family enjoy baseball games, hockey games, and watching movies.
