About Daniel P. Guidera, DDS
Hi, I’m Dr. Daniel P. Guidera. I’m a general and cosmetic dentist in Vista, California, serving patients throughout North San Diego County.When I started my dental practice in 1982, Vista still had a small-town feel. On either side of Highway 78 were open fields. I’ve now been a dentist in Vista for over 30 years. In that time, I’ve seen tremendous growth throughout North San Diego County. I practice across from the courthouse on one of the busiest streets in Vista.My dental practice has transformed as well. Our staff has expanded to include three registered dental hygienists, two dental assistants, and three front office staff, all of whom provide exceptional and personalized care to our patients. We’ve also kept up on the latest advances in dentistry and recently installed an E4D CAD/CAM system, the pinnacle of modern dental technology. The system has renewed my passion for the craft of dentistry. It’s made the process of making crowns easier and more efficient for me and my patients.Despite these changes, some things have remained constant, such as my commitment to educate my patients and listen to their concerns. That commitment goes back to my ten-years of training at UCLA. I attended the UCLA School of Dentistry for four years, where I also taught removable prosthetics for three years and earned a Certificate of Residency from the UCLA Hospital dental clinic. Prior to that, I graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in bacteriology. Thirty years later, I still feel privileged to have my patients place their trust in me. I enjoy improving their lives in a tangible way, and it’s this mind-set that’s resulted in a thriving dental practice that benefits my patients, my staff, and the Vista community.I’m a native Californian who grew up in Orange County. I now live in San Marcos with my wife, Robin. When I’m not doing dentistry, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my three adult children and their spouses.
