About Dania M. Alonso, DMD
Dr. Dania Melnick Alonso who is simply known as Dr. Melnick is a Miami, Florida-based dentist believes that keeping your mouth healthy is integral in your overall health and self esteem. She specializes in general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry including crowns, bridges, veneers, teeth whitening treatment, emergency dental care, and more. Dania Melnick Alonso attended Gulliver Preparatory School for high school. She then attended the University of Miami, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She received the Tufts Merit Scholarship for academic excellence upon her dental school acceptance. She went on to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, where she earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2002 and graduated in the top 15% of her graduating class. She worked in Taunton, Massachusetts as a dentist for about 3 years prior to moving to Miami. Dentistry is a quickly evolving profession so it is important to her to stay on the “cutting edge” of technology. She is regularly involved in local dental study clubs and attends National Dental Meetings every year to make sure she stays on top of the world latest dental advancements and technology. She has been an active member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, Spears Study Club and the International Team for Implantology ( ITI).
