About Amir Ghadiri, DMD
Dr. Amir Ghadiri grew up in the South Bay and has been practicing dentistry since 2004. He received his baccalaureate degree in Systems Physiology and Chemistry, earning numerous distinctions in academics and research. After working a few years as Research Associate in the fields of Genetics and Evolutionary Biology, he pursued a career in dental medicine. Dr. Ghadiri graduated from the University of Pennsylvania school of Dental Medicine, and was the sole recipient of the American Student Dental Association Chapter Award of Recognition. Throughout all four years at Penn, he was awarded the prestigious Vernon Brightman Student Research scholarship focusing on the origin and the molecular mechanism of oral cancer. His interest in student government lead him to serve in various leadership positions including the presidency of the American Dental Association Penn chapter. Delaying his entry into clinical practice, he enrolled in General Dental Residency at the Philadelphia VA and Hospital of University of Pennsylvania. The dental residency provided further training in all facets of restorative and sedation dentistry, dental trauma, management of medically complex patients, oral surgery, endodontics, and implantology.
