About Adam Sumner, DMD
Dr. Adam Sumner was born and raised in Ohio, and has been providing quality dental care to San Antonio families since 2013. His most cherished titles are that of husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He enjoys exploring San Antonio with his wife, young son, and dog. He loves traveling and trying new foods, and is always planning a new family adventure.Dr. Sumner is passionate about the role of dentistry within a larger commitment to whole body health. He is known as an honest, trustworthy, and skilled clinician who embraces a comprehensive and preventative approach to dentistry. In his desire to serve others, Dr. Sumner helps people relieve their pain, minimize disease, and gain confidence in their everyday lives. He has even provided mobile care to individuals in assisted-living and memory care facilities who are otherwise unable to reach a dental office. Dr. Sumner earned his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Ohio State University. He went on to earn his Master of Arts in Biomedicine and Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. He maintains several advanced certifications to ensure the safety and comfort of his patients. For example, he is certified for Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and is therefore able to uphold the highest levels of safety when working with even our youngest patients. He is a member of multiple state and national dental associations and frequently attends continuing education courses to stay up-to-date on the newest treatment options. He has even co-authored scholarly research papers to advance the field of dentistry. He uses these experiences and knowledge to provide an optimal patient experience for every member of the Bluebonnet Family Dental family.
