About Vincent J. Picone, DDS
Dr. Vincent J. Picone, D.D.S.-PA, while working in other offices early in his dental career, saw the need for caring, committed, and talented dentists. That is why he has built his practice slowly and carefully, as a designer blends art, technology and skill into a superior product. We continue to work on offering our present and future patients the very best dentistry we can! Dr. Picone attends lectures and courses to maintain his education regarding the latest techniques. He has gone to courses in cosmetic dentistry, implantology, marketing and the new high strength porcelain veneers, crowns and inlays. No, he is not sailing the Atlantic while other people run his office!!!! He is still excited and enthused with dentistry and enjoys working and teaching — “The fee for your work means nothing if your heart and soul do not go into giving the patient your very best.” After graduating from N.Y.U. College of Dentistry in 1975 and working in the Big Apple for almost a year, Dr. Picone established his practice in Ft. Lee. Renting space from Dr. Len Cohen and working for offices in Jersey City, Paterson, Union City and Passaic, he had observed the way many different dental offices failed to serve the neediest segment of the population–the dental phobic. Graduating from Jersey City State College with a major in biology and minors in chemistry and psychology, he was able to understand the basis for deep-seated fears and a compassionate insight into alleviating them. Applying these principals to the dental phobic as well as a concerned and careful attention to the nonfearing person, his practice was full time by 1979, with patients coming from his native Hudson as well as Southern Bergen Counties. After purchasing our present facility, our new office was opened on Feb. 2, 1981, thanks to the recommendations and encouragement of family and friends alike. Our main objective is to eliminate fear of dental treatment and related problems with the use of an understanding and caring staff — from the dentist to the chairside assistant, who always has a reassuring hand and word to give. All members of YOUR TEAM complete the circle of treatment that is CONCERNED WITH BRINGING ABOUT AND KEEPING YOUR DENTAL HEALTH! We effectively use whatever means are needed to understand and eliminate these problems. Another major objective is to allow the patient to use most dental plans to help pay necessary treatment that could not otherwise be paid out of pocket. Our office manager and staff handle all aspects of insurance claims from submission to payment. With your cooperation, this control allows us to be sure your group pays what it should! Dr. Picone is a lifelong native of Union City and North Bergen who has been in the practice of General Dentistry for over three decades. Dr. Picone has gone through the Union City school system and graduated from the NYU School of Dentistry.
