About Ted R. Hume, DDS
Advanced restorative, implant, and cosmetic dentistry requires many of hours of after graduate training. Most patients are surprised to learn that the majority of dental schools do not teach any courses in cosmetic or advanced restorative dentistry, and the few that do are usually limited to introductory courses. Gifted with an artistic eye, a rigorous program of after graduate training and a relentless pursuit of excellence, Dr. Hume is highly trained in implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and general dentistry. A 1995 graduate of Baylor College of Dentistry, Dr. Hume has maintained a private dental practice in North Dallas, Texas since 1999. Originally from the Lake Highlands, Texas area, Dr. Hume grew up in San Angelo, Texas. Before dental school he attended Texas Tech University and graduated from Southwestern University in 1990. He and his wife, Jessica, have three lovely children; Courtney, Caroline, and Redman. When not attending his children’s activities, Dr. Hume is an avid golfer, a salt water fisherman, and loves anything to do with outdoors. He is also a competitive chili cook, winning the Tolbert Men’s State Open in 1995 and 2001, The Tolbert Texas State Open in 2001, and The Original Terlingua International Chili Cookoff in 2003 and 2012.
