About Shayne Guffey, DMD
Dr. Shayne Guffey brings a genuine passion for dentistry to the care he offers his patients. While he loves the technology, biology, and craftsmanship of his profession, it’s the interpersonal connection with each person that brings the ultimate fulfillment to his days. He believes dental care starts with truly caring about each person. Dr. Guffey thrives on the teamwork found in providing excellent customer service and dental treatment. He’s intentionally focused on building a team of diverse professionals at Mountain View Family Dental. He’s proven that the skills and care of many trained providers blend together to create an unmatched healthcare experience for his patient family. A native of Oregon, Dr. Guffey attended Oregon Health Sciences University before moving to Arizona in 2003. He’s a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation. He attends numerous continuing education courses to support his mission to provide the finest dental care possible. He also believes each patient deserves the opportunity to explore options for their care, finding affordable alternatives or plans to help them enhance their wellbeing. Dr. Guffey and his wife, Michelle, have four sons, and they enjoy spending time in the outdoors. An active volunteer at his church, he also commits time to Boy Scout activities. When he gets away, he loves hiking and backpacking. A favorite memory from hiking across the West includes a trek along part of the Continental Divide in the Colorado Rockies recently. Dr. Guffey also enjoys a good book, especially by Kurt Vonnegut, Neil Gaiman, or Neal Stephenson. Dr. Guffey looks forward to discussing your concerns, interests, and goals with you.
