About Shawn Douglas, DDS

Dr. Shawn Douglas is a longtime resident of Florida, and he is happy to be serving the community with excellent and friendly dental care. His commitment is to keeping teeth healthy and creating beautiful smiles. Dr. Douglas graduated from the prestigious University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. Following his training at UNC, Dr. Douglas completed an elective residency at the University of Florida which focused on dental implants and full mouth makeovers. He has been practicing dentistry in the Lutz and Odessa communities since 2006. In addition to his formal education, Dr. Douglas has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education. His advanced training includes cosmetic and implant dentistry. He is also an active member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the West Coast District Dental Association. In his personal life, Dr. Douglas and his wife, Jamie, enjoy waterskiing, biking, traveling, and playing with their dogs, Bella and Cassie. They are active members of Idlewild Baptist Church where they regularly organize and participate in community services events. Dr. Douglas continues to volunteer locally and internationally. Just recently he lead a team of dentists on a trip to Bolivia where they provided free dental care to an underserved rural community. While there, Dr. Douglas had the opportunity to train South American dentists on the latest techniques in dentistry.
