About Ruben A. Sauceda, DDS
Dr. Sauceda was born and raised in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. He studied in a private school to become bilingual in both Spanish and English. He moved from his home town to study abroad in the capital city of Honduras, Tegucigalpa. He received his DDS degree from National Autonomous University of Honduras, UNAH in 2002. He moved to the United States in 2006 to pursue advanced training in the field of Prosthodontics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (2006-2009). He continued his studies in Periodontology (2009-2012) and received certificates from both the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and Birmingham Veterans Affairs Hospital. Dr. Sauceda was also awarded a Master of Science Degree in the field of Prosthodontics from UAB. Dr. Sauceda is among a small number of clinicians who has completed post-graduate training in both Prosthodontics and Periodontics. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and certified in dental implant surgery and currently working to achieve Diplomate Status in Prosthodontics to become 6th in the nation with dual Diplomate Certification. Dr. Sauceda enjoys spending time with his wife Ana and his two kids Sebastian and Sofia. He also enjoys going to the movies and going to the beach to relax.
