About Robert Cieri, DMD
Dr. Cieri currently lives in Redding with his wife, Mary Pat, and raised two children, Bobby and Katie, and various pets. He has been providing personalized, comprehensive dentistry for the entire family since 1987. With strong ties to the local community, he attended Wilton High School where he started the boys swim team, played soccer and ran track. During high school, college, and dental school, he worked at Merwin Meadows and Kiwanis Parks as the waterfront director and swim team coach. Dr, Cieri was married at Our Lady of Fatima. They were active in Newcomers, the OLF MOM's group, and the Wilton Y. They moved to Redding in 1994, and after graduating from helping with their kids sports and school activities, remain active in Redding Neighbors & Newcomers, Sacred Heart Church, Redding Trail Tenders, the Mark Twain Library, Boy Scouts, Ridgefield Ladies Golf League, Redding Garden Club, New Pond Farm, and Trout Unlimited. Completed Peter Dawson’s series of courses at the Institute for Advanced Dental Studies: Advanced Dental Reconstruction and Implant Dentistry. Dr. Dawson is reputed to be the top dentist in restorative dentistry and full mouth restorations. His year long series of courses enabled Dr. Cieri to become an expert in restoring patient's mouths to their optimum appearance and function. He worked ""one on one"" for an entire year with Dr Dawson treating mutual patients. Dr. Cieri always offers this personalized care to his patients and does not delegate any segment of your treatment to his office assistants. Your personalized care in all aspects is his passion. In 1994, Dr. Cieri opened a second office, Derby Dental Associates, in Derby, CT to better service his patients in The Valley In 2010, Dr Cieri moved his Wilton office to Georgetown, to a suite with first floor access and a more centralized location for his Wilton, Weston, Redding, Ridgefield, Newtown, and New Canaan patients. Dr. Cieri served as a Board Member for the local Rotary International Chapter and the Wilton's Chamber of Commerce. He also helped bring new members to Our Lady of Fatima through the RCIA program, and served on the Advisory Board for Wilton High School. As an Assistant Scoutmaster in Redding’s Boy Scout Troop 15, he led high-adventure backpacking trips to the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and taught winter and water survival skills. He was a counselor for the Swimming, Hiking, Camping, Backpacking, Lifesaving Merit Badges, and continues to volunteer at the troop spaghetti fundraising dinners, Klondike Derbies, and camp outs. He is the proud father of an Eagle Scout. Dr. Cieri’s liaisons with school officials, vendors, and coaches were instrumental in the re-surfacing of the track at Joel Barlow High School, where he served as the track and cross country booster club president. A few summers ago, Dr. Cieri cooked hundreds of hotdogs and hamburgers and washed cars to help his daughter’s team raise money for St. Vincent's Swim Across the Sound Cancer Fund. He has ushered at Sacred Heart Church and has combined his passions for trail running and volunteering by working as Assistant Trail Manager and Trail Tender for the Saugatuck Falls Nature Area in Redding and tends the Powerline Trail. He looks forward to running fishing clinics for young adults at Topstone Park and volunteering at the Fishing Special Olympics at Merwin Meadows. An active member of Trout Unlimited, he helps with fish releases, fishing clinics, and stream conservation efforts. Lately, he can be seen at Cross Country and Track meets and jogging on his favorite trails--the Barlow Cross Country Trail, (his son, Bobby's Eagle Project), and the Saugatuck Falls Nature Area.
