About Richard S. Herrod, DDS
Dr. Herrod grew up in Taft, CA where finding fun things to do as a child was almost as difficult as finding an oil-stench free breath of air. Consequently, he spent most of his childhood playing basketball, working on the oil rigs, and starting small businesses. He completed his bachelors degree at Brigham Young University and received his doctorate of dentistry from the University of California Los Angeles. Dr. Herrod has practiced dentistry in La Mesa, California for over 25 years and is an active community member. He has been involved with or directly contributed to the Boy Scouts of America, Peter Pan Jr. Theater, San Diego River Clean-up, and coaching children’s athletic teams.
