About Philip R. Eckman, DDS
Dr. Philip Eckman, Jr. joined his father in practice in 2009. After graduating from Muhlenberg College in 2005 with his Bachelor of Arts, Dr. Eckman Jr. attended the University of Maryland Dental School, where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. He is a member of such prestigious organizations as the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and the Pennsylvania Dental Association. Upon graduation in 2009, Dr. Philip earned his certification from Invisalign. In 2011, he received his Pennsylvania license for conscious sedation (nitrous oxide.) Dr. Philip is especially passionate about dental implants. He has been trained in the surgical placement of implants and uses 3-D technology to plan and guide his procedures. Dr. Philip meets regularly with peers in the Brandywine Study Club to attend presentations by the industry’s leading specialists. In 2017, Dr. Philip co-founded an internet service to provide people with free dental advice. His website, www.XrayUpload.com allows users to have dental x-rays evaluated by a panel of experienced, licensed dentists at no charge. To date, visitors from over 75 countries have received a free second opinion through this modern service. Dr. Eckman Jr. also enjoys sports and was a member of the 2002 Delaware Boys Basketball State Championship Team. He also played basketball at Muhlenberg College.
